Ich bin zurück in meiner Wahlheimat Shanghai und pausiere meinen Shop. Bestellungen können erst Mitte Dezember bearbeitet werden. Ich plane neue Spendenrunden und freue mich auf eine kreative Auszeit. Ich komme zurück!

Am Tag der Freundschaft habe ich mit großer Freude meine zweite Runde meines sozialen Upcycling Projektes beendet und 900€ an die Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e.V. Mit Freude gespendet. Allen Unterstützern ein großes Dankeschön.

UPDATE: September 10, 2021: I am back in my adopted home Shanghai. My online shop makes a break. Orders can be sent not before mid of December. I am planing new donation rounds and I am looking forward to a creative time out. I´ll be back!

With great joy I concluded the second phase of my social upcyling project on occasion of the International Day of friendship. I donated € 900 to Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e.V. A massive thank you to all supporters of my project.

Ich habe mein Ziel, 2000€ bis Ostern zu verdienen, übertroffen. Es sind 2300€ geworden. Ich bin begeistert und sage allen Käufern, Unterstützern und Spendern ein großes DANKE!

I reached my goal and more. I wanted to earn with the selling of my envelopes €2000 – i fact I earned €2300. I am more than happy. I want to thank all customers, promoters and donors. I am overwhelmed. I love this project and I decided to continue with the social, sustainable and fulfilling project in favour of children. My shop continues to be online!
This is the story behind my charity project:
Eigentlich lebe ich mit meinem Mann in Shanghai. Die Corona Pandemie hat mich in Deutschland stranden lassen. Das ist nicht leicht, denn es ist mittlerweile mehr als ein Jahr, dass ich nicht zurück nach China fliegen konnte.
Das Arbeiten als Fotografin ist in dieser Zeit sehr schwierig.
Kreativ war ich schon immer und bei meinem viele Waldspaziergängen kam mir diese Idee:
In normal times my husband and I live in Shanghai. Because of the Corona pandemic I stranded back in Germany. By now it is more than a year that I couldn’t fly back to China, not an easy situation. To work as a photographer is extremely challenging during these times. Creativity was always a strong suit of mine and while having one of my many walks through the woods I had this idea:
Ich gestalte aus alten Kalenderblätter wertige Umschläge als Unikate und verkaufe sie für einen guten Zweck im Freundeskreis und darüber hinaus. Ich habe viele Freunde gebeten, mir ihre alten Kalender zuzuschicken. Die Resonanz war groß, aber viele hatten schon ihre Kellerecken, Schubladen, Regale aufgeräumt. Corona macht’s möglich.
So entschied ich, eine Internetrecherche zu machen und suchte mir die Adressen und Ansprechpartner der großen deutschen Kalenderverlage heraus und schrieb ihnen eine email. Ich erklärte mein Vorhaben, berichtete über mein Leben und mein soziales Engagement. Bis auf einige wenige habe sich alle Kalenderverlage gemeldet und mir Kalenderspenden zugesagt. Die ersten Lieferungen sind schon angekommen. Die Calvendo Verlags GmbH war so unglaublich großzügig, ich bekam 130 Kalender geschickt.
Ich bin in die kreative Produktion gegangen und habe das Glück, viele helfende Hände bei der Realisierung zu haben. Mein Webdesigner Andreas Schneider von Come2as aus Wiesbaden, Luise Friedrich von Die Idee Agentur aus Mainz, Jenny Ameta von Ametalovedesign aus Köln helfen bei der Realisierung. Besonders toll ist mein Logo von Jenny geworden.
Seit dem 8. Februar ist mein Shop online. Am gleichen Abend war der Shop leer. Totale Freude.
I am creating high quality unique envelopes of sheets of calendars and sell for charity purposes to friends and beyond. I have asked many friends to send me their wall calendars from previous years. There was great feedback but many already took the opportunity to clean up their basements, drawers and shelves, due to Corona lockdowns.
So I had to source differently and decided to research and contact people at the large calendar publishing companies and sent emails to them. I explained my idea, the project, my personal situation, and my social engagement. Most of them responded and promised to send me material. The first deliveries already arrived. Calvendo Verlags GmbH was enormously generous and sent me 130 calendars from their archive.
I immediately started production and was lucky to have many helping hands around me. My web designer Andreas Schneider of “Come2as” in Wiesbaden, Luise Friedrich of “Die Idee Agentur” in Mainz, and Jenny Ameta of “Ametalovedesign” in Cologne are such a great support. I particularly like my new logo designed by Jenny. On 8 February my shop went online, the same night it was sold out, what a joy and success on day 1!

Ich habe neben meinen eigenen vier Kindern vier SOS Kinderdorf Patenkindern. Zur Zeit kommen sie aus China, Mexiko und Burundi. Ich helfe monatlich mit meinem kleinen Beitrag, dass Yezue, Cedric, Daniela und Jonathan Alberto gut versorgt sind und eine gute Ausbildung bekommen.
Deutsche Kinderkrebsstiftung in Bonn.
Die Gesundheit meiner Kinder liegt mir am Herzen und so bedenke ich diese Stiftung seit Jahren, um meinen Betrag für kranke Kinder und die Forschung zu leisten.

Ich bedenken auch die Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e. V. mit Sitz in Freiburg. Dieser Verein unterstützt Kinder mit Lippen – Kiefer Gaumen Spalte, indem Ärzte diese Kinder operieren und ihnen ein neues Leben schenken.
All the revenue goes to two organisations which are close to my heart:

Next to my own four children I have four godchildren in four of the villages of the SOS-Kinderdorf organizations: they live in China, Mexico, and Burundi. With my small monthly contributions I hope to help Yezue, Cedric, Daniela, and Jonathan Alberto for a better life and education.
Deutsche Kinderkrebsstiftung / Bonn.
My children’s health matters to me a lot therefore I support this foundation fighting children’s cancer since many years. Helping suffering children and to support the research is close to my heart.
Update: June 1, 2021:
From today on I will also support Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe e.V. / Freiburg. This foundation support children with cleft lip and palate.
Mein Ziel ist es, bis Ostern aus den Verkäufen meiner Umschläge 2000 € an diese Organisantionen zu spenden. Vielleicht wird daraus ja noch ein viel größeres Projekt. Ich bin bereit dafür und freue mich auf eine spannende neue unternehmerische Tätigkeit.
Da die Umschläge allesamt Unikate sind und sie nach dem Verkauf auch wieder von meiner Shopseite heruntergenommen werden, präsentiere ich hier jeden Tag die verkauften Umschläge. Ich freue mich auf Unterstützer, Spender und Käufer!

My target is to reach sales of 2000 Euros by Easter to be fully donated to the two organisations. Maybe this turns out to be a bigger project than I thought, who knows. I am ready, and I am very much looking forward to my new entrepreneurial life.
